We organize sauna competitions several times throughout the year, featuring a unique atmosphere and a rich program in our ceremonial saunas.

You can enjoy the sauna competitions with a standard wellness entry. It’s an experience we organize several times throughout the year and it can enrich your visit to the sauna world. At the same time, these days offer even more space for your relaxation, as the main program takes place in the Grand Dome. In the other saunas and during sauna ceremonies in the Small Dome, there is more room for your rest, which may be enhanced by special guests — sauna masters from abroad.

COMPETITIONS 2026

modern classic cup

March 9–11, 2026
The second edition of a competition that returns to the core traditions of sauna bathing. Experience the art of classic sauna rituals, combining music, essential oils, and traditional towel-​waving techniques performed by sauna masters from across the Czech Republic.

Saunafest Qualification

April 9–10, 2026
A competition where sauna masters transform the sauna into a stage full of stories and emotions, delivering highly demanding performances that combine acting talent with the art of sauna rituals. The best competitors advance to the Czech National Championship final.

Saunafest Final

May 6–8, 2026
We bring you the very best of sauna theatre as part of the Czech National Championship. Sauna masters will perform both individually and in teams, and you can also look forward to exciting international guests.

BATTLE OF GLADIATORS

July 1–3, 2026
This competition combines traditional sauna techniques with new creative approaches in an entertaining format. During three sauna rounds, two sauna masters compete head-​to-​head, and immediately after each duel, the jury decides in front of the audience whether the competitor advances to the next round.

WHAT COMPETITIONS TAKE PLACE HERE

PLAY OFF

The play-​off follows the national qualifications and represents the final opportunity for competitors from around the world to qualify for the top-​level competition, Aufguss WM, also known as the World Championship in show sauna ceremonies.

BATTLE OF GLADIATORS

A sauna competition that combines the traditional elements of sauna bathing with a fun and competitive format, where participants can showcase their creativity and skills through towel-​waving techniques.

SAUNAFEST

A captivating spectacle in which sauna masters transform the sauna into a stage full of stories, scents, lights, and emotions. Popular themes include films and books, historical events from our country and around the world, stories of famous personalities, or even theatrical performances.

A sauna competition that brings together sauna masters from across Europe, who present the very best of towel techniques and sauna artistry.
